Drury names interim dean for graduate studies

Drury University has named Dan Beach interim dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies, effective June 11.

Beach replaces Parris Watts, who is joining Graceland University as vice president for academic affairs, based at the school's Iowa campus. Drury will start a national search for Watts' permanent replacement this summer, according to a news release.

Beach has been at Drury since 1983. He is the director emeritus of the School of Education and Child Development and the associate dean for graduate programs in the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies. He also is a former principal of Parkview High School and Hickory Hills middle and elementary schools.[[In-content Ad]]
