The Drury University Board of Trustees appointed four new members to its ranks.

The new trustees were named during the board’s fall meeting Oct. 28-29, the first full meeting attended by President Tim Cloyd, who took office July 1, according to a news release issued this morning. Drury spokesman Mike Brothers said the board has 38 members, and the university's bylaws permit up to 40.

The appointees are:
    •    Rob Dickerson, a commercial insurance agent with Springfield firm Barker-Phillips-Jackson Inc. and a 1990 Drury graduate;
    •    Gail Fredrick, an attorney with Springfield law firm Fredrick & Rogers PC who earned his bachelor’s in 1969 and MBA from Drury in 1972;
    •    Lindsay French, the owner of Dynamic Body LLC in Springfield who earned her bachelor’s in 2002 and MBA in 2004 from Drury; and
    •    Suzie Scott, a faculty member at the Colorado School of Mines who holds a bachelor’s from Drury.

During the fall meeting, Cloyd laid out what he calls “The Big Three” strategic initiatives for Drury: developing a marketing platform that’s unique to the university, designing a campus master plan to advance institutional priorities and undergoing a multiyear campaign supporting the school through its 150th anniversary in 2023 and beyond, according to the release.

“This was certainly an exciting and energizing board meeting given the recent string of good news so far this fall, and because of the strategic road map laid out by Cloyd’s leadership team,” said Steve Edwards, CoxHealth CEO and Drury trustee, in the release. “The task for all of us now is to continue to build on those recent successes and not limit our imagination as to what we can accomplish.”
