The event will include a dinner, followed by an open discussion 6–7:30 p.m. in Reed Auditorium in the Trustee Science Center on the Drury campus.
Panelists will include Kathryn Mutchler of the Think Green! Group, Drury Student Recycling Coordinator Sarah Davis, Nick Chkautovich and Adam Schmitz of Design-Build Class, Zachary Poss of Habitat for Humanity, and Chris Gilstrap of Drury SIFE.
Following the panel discussion, students from Parkview High School will present their ideas for making Parkview more sustainable.
The summit is hosted by Drury’s Students in Free Enterprise.
In a related event, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Special Projects Engineer Don Moseley will speak at Drury at 1 p.m. Feb. 28 about Wal-Mart’s efforts to achieve sustainability.
Moseley managed the design of the company’s experimental stores in Texas and Colorado, which were built to use renewable energy and minimize waste. A question-and-answer session will follow his speech.
