Drury University has hired a new dean to lead its Breech School of Business Administration.

Daniel Bumblauskas, who most recently served as executive director and associate dean of the Craig School of Business at Missouri Western State University, has been appointed to the role at Drury, according to a news release. Bumblauskas' LinkedIn profile indicates he started at Drury this month.

"Dr. Bumblauskas has a diverse, multidisciplinary background with both corporate and academic leadership experience," said Beth Harville, Drury provost, in the release. "He brings proven strategies for developing strong academic programs and forging collaborations with business partners."

Bumblauskas takes over for SRC Holdings Corp. CEO Jack Stack, who was appointed to a six-month term as interim dean of the Breech School of Business Administration. Former dean Jeff Zimmerman chose to relinquish the role to focus on teaching and assist with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business reaccreditation process, according to past reporting.

Bumblauskas previously served as MBA coordinator at the University of Northern Iowa, and he has worked at colleges in China, Seattle, Dublin and Italy, according to the release. His LinkedIn profile also points to work at business management consultancy PFC Services Inc. and technology corporation ABB.

“I came into the professoriate to impact the development and lives of my students,” Bumblauskas said in the release. “I have seen the results of this work, and I’m always delighted to see alumni from my courses and programs doing so well both personally and professionally. I can confidently say that I look forward to bringing that energy to support the development of students, faculty and staff at Drury.”
