With roughly 375 new freshman and 60 or more transfer students about to arrive, Drury University this fall will welcome its largest group of freshmen and new students in its 129-year history, according to a news release from the university.
New students arrive on campus beginning Aug. 17. Residence halls open for move-in at 8 a.m.
The large entering class will push Drury's traditional undergraduate enrollment close to 1,500, also its highest ever.
"The whole campus is very excited," said Krystal Compas, vice president for enrollment management. "A record enrollment tells us that students and parents understand the value of a four-year, liberal arts-based education, particularly one with Drury's unique combination of global perspective and preparation for a professional career."
