pare.mo.gov, has registered more than 350,000 hits since it was launched in January.
The Web site provides lists of pharmacies in the state and their costs for different types of medication. The site is hosted by the Department of Social Services’ MO HealthNet division.
“It’s great to see consumers using the MoRx Price Compare Web site to help them save money,” said Senate President Pro Tem Michael R. Gibbons, R-Kirkwood, in a news release. “This is one way we are declaring war on the high cost of health care – by making sure consumers have the right to know how much their prescription drugs cost and where they can find the best price.”
MoRx Price Compare is a key component of the MoRx Plan, which is designed to help pay some prescription costs for Missouri seniors and disabled citizens who are enrolled in Medicare Part D and to ensure that health care remains affordable for seniors. [[In-content Ad]]
