DraftKings becomes public company

Fantasy sports contest and sports betting company DraftKings goes public today on the Nasdaq.

The company completed its $3.3 billion merger with Diamond Eagle, a special-purpose acquisition company. Diamond Eagle, which went public last May, is scheduled to resume trading today under the DraftKings name and the new ticker DKNG.

The public debut comes as most sports are shut down due to the coronavirus.
