Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. (NYSE: DPS) slashed its full-year forecast to $4.53-$4.63 per share, from $4.56-$4.66 per share it had estimated in July.
The company cited an expected third-quarter charge after a default by a company supplying resin to its Mexican operations.
Company officials also said results may be negatively impacted by hurricanes hitting parts of the United States and the Caribbean, as well as the earthquake in Mexico.
