The Dow surged past 24,000 for the first time on Thursday on the possibility of legislators passing tax reform.
The S&P 500 also advanced 0.8 percent to close at 2,647.58, an all-time high.
The Nasdaq composite rose 0.7 percent to close at 6,873.97. It jumped up from a 2 percent decline in the previous session.
