Andrew Liveris, Dow Chemical's longtime leader, plan to step down next month.
The move is part of Dow Chemical's combination last year with DuPont.
Liveris also will relinquish the role of executive chairman, and he'll be succeeded in that position by Jeff Fettig, co-lead director.
Liveris lieutenant Jim Fitterling will become CEO of the materials-science company, to be known as Dow.
