Dow Chemical and DuPont in advanced talks to merge

Dow Chemical Co. and DuPont Co. are in advanced talks to merge, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.

Together, the companies are worth nearly $120 billion.

The unnamed sources said the chemical giants, which each have a market capitalization of about $60 billion, could announce a merger in the coming days.
