For the third time in just over a year, the Doula Foundation is searching for a new executive director.
The new leader would succeed Sue Robinson, who left Feb. 28 to care for her elderly mother and sister, said Mendie Schoeller, a member of the nonprofit’s board and its search committee for a new executive director. Robinson relocated from Idaho for the position last summer.
“We’re sad to be losing her,” Schoeller said, noting the committee has received a bevy of applications and currently is reviewing them. “We’re in the process of interviewing a first round.”
No set timeline is in place, she said.
Robinson replaced short-lived Executive Director Kyla Bentley, who Schoeller said stepped down to
work with the downtown Brick Slice House restaurant, her husband and family’s business.
The Brick Slice House has been closed since at least early March, according to
customer posts on its Facebook page. A sign on the door reads, “Closed for maintenance.” Bentley could not be reached for comment by deadline.
Founded in 1991, the Doula Foundation assists mothers and families throughout the child-birthing process in the Greene County area.
