Donovan McNabb off the air at Fox and NBC after arrest

Fox Sports announced Sunday evening former NFL player-turned-commentator Donovan McNabb is “suspended indefinitely” from his job at the network’s flagship program, “Fox Sports Live”.

NBC Sports announced July 8 the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback would take a leave of absence from his position on its radio program, “Under Center with McNabb & Malone.” Both announcements follow McNabb’s June 28 arrest in Gilbert Arizona for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Although he has not been found guilty, police documents state McNabb rear-ended a car and later showed several signs of impairment. McNabb also pled guilty to a DUI violation in March 2014, for which he spent one day in jail.

McNabb is expected to face a steeper sentence if found guilty of driving under the influence a second time, according to CNNMoney.
