Domino’s unveils autonomous pizza delivery robot

Domino’s on Friday unveiled the Domino’s Robotic Unit, an autonomous pizza delivery robot being given a trial run in New Zealand.

The company reports the robot carried out its first successful pizza delivery on March 8.

The robot, which can dodge hurdles via on-board sensors, has two different compartments to keep beverages cool and pizzas hot. Each robot can carry up to 10 pizzas.
