Domino's delivers in third quarter

Domino’s Pizza Inc. (NYSE: DPZ) delivered some robust gains for investors Tuesday, jumping 11 percent to $84.30 after posting stronger-than-expected sales and earnings growth.

USA Today reports the Michigan-based chain brought in $446.6 million in third-quarter revenue, a 10.5 percent increase. Net income climbed 16 percent to $35.6 million for the quarter ended Sept. 7.

Domino’s  added 160 stores in the quarter, bringing its total store count to 11,121. Same-store U.S. sales  grew 7.7 percent, while international sales were up 7.1 percent.
