Dollar General buys 41 Wal-Mart Express stores

Dollar General has agreed to purchase 41 former Wal-Mart express stores.

The company plans to relocate 40 existing Dollar General stores and open a new location at the sites by October. Further details were not disclosed.

In January, Wal-Mart announced it would close its 102 smaller-scale Express stores to focus on its core Supercenter stores.
