This new facility will replace the existing Northview Senior Center and Doling Park recreation building. The project is comprised of a 25,500-square-foot family center and an 18,500-square-foot senior wing. Amenities in the center include a full-court basketball court, indoor track, a weight and exercise room, an aerobic room, community meeting rooms and locker facilities. The senior wing includes an 8,000-square-foot multipurpose room, full commercial kitchen, hospitality room, arts and crafts room, and a billiards room. The building is built on two levels, which accommodates the sloping site and helps define separate entrances for the Family Center and senior wing. Building materials were selected to complement the existing stone on the pavilions in the park. Jack F. Hood and Jana B. Funk were project architects for the structure.
