Diversified Plastics reaches deal with auto component maker

Diversified Plastics Corporation in Nixa has formed a strategic alliance with Enerflex Solutions LLC, a Troy, Mich.,-based global supplier of automotive-crash energy-management components. The companies recently announced Diversified Plastics would support Enerflex Solutions' need for manufacturing capacity in the central and Midwest United States.

Diversified Plastics officials believe the strategic alliance will grow its automotive components manufacturing sector. President Ken Magers said the company manufactures internal automotive components such as dashboards, door liners, safety devices and door panels.

"We are very excited about this new alliance with Diversified Plastics and its ability to help us meet our commitment to bring more value and cost competitiveness to our customers," Enerflex Solutions Sales and Marketing Director Mike Morelli said in a news release. "Strategic supply-chain partnerships such as this enhance our ability to offer the range of materials and products our customers want."

Diversified Plastics has a similar alliance with Toronto-based Amvec for insulated concrete forms. Magers said that agreement grew company sales in the construction industry by 10 percent. He expects the Enerflex deal to exceed that growth in Diversified Plastics' automotive segment.
