Disney lays off 28,000

Disney's theme park division announced it would eliminate 28,000 U.S. jobs.

Most of the layoffs impact theme park employees, though some are with Disney Cruise Line and retail stores.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company's California and Florida theme parks employed about 110,000 people.
