Disney CEO: US taxes are ‘too high’

The Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Iger Thursday told CNNMoney he thinks his company is paying too much in taxes to the American government.
 
Describing the U.S. tax system as “ridiculously complex," Iger said he thinks the corporate tax base should be reduced and loopholes in the system closed.
 
Although the nation’s top corporate tax rate is 35 percent, a study of profitable corporations by the U.S. Government Accountability Office found that nearly 20 percent of companies pay no corporate income taxes.
