Discovering Solar Energy

Workers from Cleveland-based The Garland Co. Inc. install solar panels Jan. 30 on the roof of the Discovery Center, an interactive children's museum at 438 St. Louis St. The installation took two days to complete.

According to project manager Elise Crain of DeWitt & Associates Inc., the solar panels will provide 5 percent of the Discovery Center's energy. Discovery Center is undergoing a $4 million expansion and renovation.
