Multiple media reports indicate DirecTV and Dish have renewed merger talks.
The companies have held on-again, off-again talks over the years. However, to date the talks have been stopped by federal antitrust officials.
The Federal Communications Commission and the Justice Department’s antitrust division reportedly have halted at least two merger deals between the companies.
