There was a time, not so long ago - like less than a year and a half ago - when Comedy Central stars Jon Stewart, John Oliver and Stephen Colbert ruled late-night TV.
 
Then bigger networks with deeper pockets romanced away Oliver and Colbert, and this week, Stewart announced he's not leaving for a better gig - he's just leaving. How did Comedy Central go from being the go-to network for news satire to now being in starting-over mode?
