Dick's Sporting Goods names new CEO

Dick’s Sporting Goods announced the promotion of President Lauren Hobart to CEO.

Current CEO Edward Stack is transitioning to executive chairperson in February. His tenure as CEO has been marked by growth, with revenue now at roughly $9 billion and the company's store count at some 850 locations.

Hobart worked for 14 years at PepsiCo in various leadership roles before she joined Dick’s as chief marketing officer in 2011.
