Dick’s Sporting Goods yesterday announced it's furloughing 40,000 employees.
The company plans to keep on a “small number” of personnel to fulfill curbside and online orders.
In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, company officials said 800 of its stores likely will not reopen soon due to the coronavirus.
