Dick’s Sporting Goods is mulling the potential shutdown of its hunting goods business.
Dick's earlier this year changed up its gun policies following the Parkland, Florida, school shooting. The company stopped selling assault rifles and enacted an age limit on all firearm and ammunition sales.
The decision was a factor in the company's 3.9 percent drop in same-store sales during its fiscal third quarter.
Now, CEO Edward Stack is considering further reductions of hunting goods after testing gear from sectors such as baseball equipment at certain locations in its place.
