DHL cited new U.S. customs rules in implementing a temporary suspension on certain global shipments to the country.
Shipments to individuals of more than $800 will be paused. A recent rule change requires formal entry processing on those shipments, compared with a previous threshold of $2,500.
Business-to-business shipments above $800 will continue but could face delays, DHL officials said.
