U.S. Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos announced an extension on the student loan payment pause.
Some 42 million Americans with federal student loans were offered relief from payments starting in March. The pause was set to expire in September, but President Donald Trump signed an executive order extending it through the end of December.
Now, the pause has been extended through the end of January.
