DeVille Steel Inc. announced the re-cent addition of a rotary computerized automatic rebar bender and shear to its rebar fabrication department. The new machine can bend and shear rebar from both coil and straight stock.
Located on West Highway 60 in Springfield since 1981, DeVille's shops were expanded in 1997, and the company's existing turntable benders and an automatic shear line were installed.
"Having used this automated equipment, which shears and simultaneously sorts individual cut sizes of rebar since 1993, my partner Wayne Dixon and I were not hesitant to continue expanding in this area of manufacturing growth with the new rotary machine," said Rick Creson, president of DeVille Steel. Creson said the company takes pride in the speed and accuracy the machines bring to the production line, which benefits customers.
"We also utilize fully-computerized bar lists and bundle tags to improve identification and location on the job site," he added.
DeVille Steel offers a full line of structural steel and pipe.
The company specializes in the fabrication of handrails, staircases, beams and columns.
