Pinnacle Falls of Branson will be a “first-class family themed resort” set among Ozarks hills, streams and forests near the junction of Highway 76, Highway 376 and the Ozark Mountain Highroad, Cushman CEO David Cushman said in a news release.
Pinnacle Falls will include a $40 million to $50 million aquarium and an 80,000-square-foot indoor water park as well as an assortment of shopping and dining options.
Cushman’s partners for the project include Urban Retail; Peckham, Guyton, Albers and Viets Inc.; Senate Hospitality Group; and Mel Bilbo, former senior executive with Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks, the Walt Disney Co. and Herschend Family Entertainment.
The resort district’s financial model utilizes public and conventional finance components and will rely on tax increment financing, according to the release.
Pinnacle Falls is expected to open in 2009 and generate more than $150 million and 4 million visitors in its first year, according to a feasibility study done by ECS of Newport Beach, Calif.
