Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis yesterday signed a bill that gives him more control of Disney's special district.
The governor will be able to hand-pick new board members for the Reedy Creek Improvement District, the government body that Disney has control over.
The move comes nearly a year after Disney spoke out against a Florida bill – which DeSantis later signed into law – to restrict certain classroom instruction about sexual orientation and gender identity.
