The U.S. Justice Department has requested access to voting equipment used in two Missouri counties during the 2020 election.
A memo from the Missouri Association of County Clerks and Election Authorities indicates the DOJ asked for county clerks to grant access to their Dominion Voting Systems equipment.
Jasper County Clerk Charlie Davis and McDonald County Clerk Jessica Cole both declined. Davis said his office no longer has the equipment, and Cole cited state and federal law that prohibits unauthorized access to election equipment.
