Denison to lead infrastructure and transportation committee

State Rep. Charlie Denison, R-Springfield, will chair the state House Infrastructure and Transportation Funding Committee, House Speaker Ron Richard said Wednesday.

Denison previously served as vice chairman of the committee, which was formed during the 2009 legislative session to consider bills about the funding and development of the state's infrastructure.

"While Missouri has made dramatic infrastructure improvements in recent years, we must continue to look at innovative solutions to our state's infrastructure challenges," Denison said in a news release. "I look forward to working with my colleagues on the committee to address Missouri's many transportation and infrastructure needs."

Denison also serves on the House Transportation Committee and the Joint Committee on Transportation.
