Though he lost by a wide margin in 2012, Democrat Jim Evans plans to again challenge U.S. Rep. Billy Long when his House seat comes up for vote next year.
The Republic man received 30 percent of the vote in 2012, while Long garnered 63 percent, according to the News-Leader.
A retired teacher, Evans plans to declare his candidacy with the Federal Elections Commission within two weeks, he told the News-Leader.
