Democrat Doug Jones took the victory yesterday in the Alabama election for U.S. Senate.
He defeated Republican Roy Moore, whose campaign was marked by accusations of sexual abuse and child molestation.
Jones is the first Democrat to be elected by Alabama to the Senate in more than a quarter century.
