Delta Air Lines officials say the August outage that caused the cancellation of more than 2,300 flights carried a heavy financial burden.
The company is said to have lost $150 million. Of that, $100 million is in lost revenue and another $50 million is in extra costs, such as travel vouchers to affected passengers.
“This has been a challenging quarter, made more challenging by the challenges of the power outage that we had last month,” Delta Chief Financial Officer Paul Jacobson said during a presentation to investors.
