After months of negotiating, Dell Inc. founder Michael S. Dell and investment firm Silver Lake closed Tuesday, effectively moving the company into private ownership.
Dell shares were scheduled to be delisted from the stock market at the end of business on Oct. 29, according to the New York Times. Shares in Dell were roughly flat in mid-Tuesday trading.
The sale closed for $24.9 billion, roughly a month after shareholders approved the deal.
