The Boston Business Journal obtained a memo to employees from CEO Michael Dell confirming recent news reports.
Dell said the company is considering becoming public again, either through an initial public offering or a merger with VMware Inc. (NYSE: VMW).
Dell took his company private in a $24 billion deal in 2013. The company in 2016 merged with EMC Corp. in a $58 billion deal.
