Dee Dee Jacobs joined the SBJ staff in June 2005 as the first Web coordinator. Her talent and can-do attitude quickly earned her the title of Online Editor. Dee Dee is diligent about keeping fresh, newsy content out on SBJ.net. Likewise, she sees to it that the Daily Update and e-newsletters go out on time. Dee Dee said, "It's my job to take what we produce in our newsroom and put it in front of our readers 24 hours a day so that they're informed and always ready to do business. By managing our Web site, I create channels for SBJ readers to participate in everything we do, whether it's reporting the news, honoring the business community or facilitating discussion." SBJ.net has twice received recognition under Dee Dee's supervision, first by the Alliance of Area Business Publications and most recently by Missouri Press Association.

Dee Dee graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Journalism. During her time at MSU, Dee Dee served as Editor of The Standard.

Dee Dee loves that her work is "fast-paced and diverse." She says, "News happens fast, and I do everything I can to make sure our readers know about it as soon as possible. Our Web site also has so many facets, and managing each of those means my job is different every single day."
