DED seeks proposals for public infrastructure projects

Posted online
The Missouri Department of Economic Development is accepting proposals from cities and counties to receive stimulus funding for public infrastructure projects.

The DED is scheduled to receive Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. To receive those funds, projects must be submitted to the DED by May 16, according to a news release.

The DED is asking for projects that can be under contract within 120 days, facilitate full-time job creation and economic benefit, are located in areas with sudden and severe economic dislocation and job loss, and are supported by the local community.
