Fueling the record turnout was a 40 percent jump in new sales orders for the Springfield home accents company’s Guildmaster brand. The brand featured a new European-inspired Crossroads Collection, as well as a new line of lamps designed by new Decorize designer Christi Proctor, one of the original designers on the “Trading Spaces” TV show.
Decorize’s showroom at the market also featured original artwork, wall décor and accent furniture by company designer J. Michael Sandel.
“While general attendance at this market was not as high as in prior years, our showroom was busy and energized, due to Christi and the new Crossroads Collection,” Decorize CEO Steve Crowder said in a news release. “Through our national focus groups, we are able to identify trends and develop product significantly faster than others. Coupled with Decorize’s ability to also build and deliver in half the normal time, we’ve seen satisfied, enthusiastic customers increase the size of their orders, and we’ve seen our customer list grow substantially.”
Decorize specializes in designing, manufacturing and delivering home accents from its production facilities in Indonesia and China to U.S. retailers. Shares (OTCBB: DCZI) closed Thursday at 32 cents, compared to a 52-week range of 20 cents to 87 cents.
