Springfield-based Decorize Inc., comprised of divisions Decorize.com, Faith Walk Designs and GuildMaster, an-nounced Jan. 7 it received its largest or-der to date, worth $1.7 million.
Decorize Inc. Chief Executive Officer Jon Baker said the $1.7 million order beats the company's previous largest or-der by more than $500,000.
"Just to put it in perspective, in our category, a big order is $50,000 to $100,000, so for a company at our stage of development in month number 19 of our existence to get an order of that size is a real accomplishment," Baker said.
He added that it's also a testament to the company's employees and its business model, which enables large and small retailers to purchase merchandise from the Far East at lower costs.
Baker declined to name the client who placed the record order.
He said Decorize serves about 3,500 to 4,000 small retailers and 25 to 30 large retailers.
Baker expects a strong revenue stream to fuel the second half of the company's fiscal year, which ends June 30.
He added that Decorize is on track to meet or exceed its year-end revenue projections of $14.5 million.
