Sales were $4.5 million, compared to $1.6 million in second-quarter 2006.
The furniture and home accents manufacturer has posted improved sales and operating results for four consecutive quarters. The company expects to announce its first quarterly operating profit when it files its second-quarter results with the Securities and Exchange Commission early next month, according to a company news release.
Decorize officials attribute the recent increase to strategic partnerships with retailers – including Stein Mart, Wal-Mart and Broyhill Furniture Industries – announced during the quarter.
“Customers have discovered that we can design and source multiple categories of exclusive home accent products,” Decorize CEO Steve Crowder said in the release. “This capability allows the retailer to focus their attention and resources on the consumer and not worry about supply chain issues related to production overseas.”
Shares (AMEX: DCZ) closed Wednesday at 58 cents, compared to a 52-week range of 17 cents to 69 cents.
