The home furnishings supplier reported an operating loss of $1.5 million, down by $2.1 million from fiscal year 2004.
Loss per share was 20 cents, compared to 37 cents last year, and gross margins for the year improved from 17 percent to 31 percent.
Sales in home accent and gift stores increased 40 percent. These stores represent the largest market segment of the $67-billion-a-year home accent industry.
Decorize was founded in 2000 and specializes in providing home furnishing supplies from the Far East. Some of the company’s accounts include La-Z-Boy, Hancock Fabrics, Neiman Marcus and Sears.
