Crews are not scheduled to make a second trip through Battlefield, so residents are encouraged to stack debris near streets as soon as possible. The collection is expected to take several days.
When stacking debris, residents are asked to point all larger ends of limbs in one direction. Limbs should be no more than 6 inches in diameter and no more than 6 feet long; anything larger can be taken to the Springfield landfill, north of the city on State Highway 13.
Debris should be placed at the street edge of property but should not block storm drainage areas or streets.
Debris removal is free to city residents.
