David Glass completed the $1 billion sale of the Kansas City Royals to a new ownership group.
The group led by John Sherman includes actor Eric Stonestreet and Kansas City businessmen.
Glass visited Missouri State University last month to help promote the school's $250 million fundraising campaign.
