The Association of Fundraising Professionals Ozarks Region Chapter presented a handful of awards to area organizations and individuals on Nov. 16 during the 2012 National Philanthropy Day awards presentation held at Highland Springs Country Club.
AFP Ozarks, in collaboration with the Ozarks Health Advocacy Foundation, sponsors the annual Philanthropy Day awards, which recognize area philanthropic endeavors on the individual, foundation and corporate level, according to a news release.
“Throughout the Ozarks, our nonprofit organizations benefit daily from philanthropy and the professionals who generously share their resources for the greater good of the region. AFP Ozarks is proud to participate in the National Philanthropy Day by recognizing those organizations and individuals who make our work possible,” AFP Ozarks President Jan Robbins said in the release.
AFP Ozarks' 2012 award winners, in alphabetical order, are:
- Cliff Davis of Ozarks Technical Community College, Philanthropic Fundraising Professional of the Year;
- the Darr Family Foundation, Philanthropic Foundation of the Year;
- Hiland Dairy, Philanthropic Business/Corporation of the Year;
- Kickapoo High School Chiefs Mentor Program, Youth Philanthropist of the Year.
- the McQueary family, Philanthropists of the Year;
- Springfield Cares, Philanthropic Media Organization of the Year; and
- Steve and Ann Grace, Volunteer Fundraisers of the Year.
The Ozarks Health Advocacy Foundation also recognized Karen Scott of Lost & Found Grief Center as the Outstanding Child Health Advocate of the Year, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
