Darr Agricultural Center, Phase III

DeWitt & Associates Inc. is the general contractor for a 27,311-square-foot expansion of Missouri State University’s Darr Agricultural Center. Clark Enersen Partners Inc., of Kansas City, is the architect as well as the structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the project. Civil engineering is by SK Design Group Inc. of Overland Park, Kan. The $5.3 million addition includes classrooms, laboratories and a conference space/banquet hall that can hold up to 400 people. With elements such as automated lighting and temperature controls and a ground-source heat pump, the project is designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Silver status. Completion is slated for April.
