Gentlemen’s barber club Dapper is planning a second location.
Jared Enterprises President and CEO Curtis Jared confirmed Dapper will add a presence inside the Town & County clothing store at the Brentwood Center, a shopping center on South Glenstone Avenue owned by Jared Enterprises. Jared noted Dapper worked out an agreement with Town & County, and deferred further questions to clothing store owner Bob Lowe. Lowe deferred questions to Dapper owner Sean Brownfield, who could not be reached for comment after repeated attempts.
Brownfield filed a Springfield business license between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3 for Dapper A Fine Gentleman's Barber Club. The filing lists the address as 2660 S. Glenstone Ave., where Town & County operates. The license was filed through Brownfield LLC, an entity organized by Brownfield.
Dapper’s Facebook page includes posts mentioning a new shop. In the latest on Aug. 31, a company official said the finishing details are in the works and an announcement regarding the second location would follow during the next week. The post identifying the new shop had not been made by deadline this morning.
Dapper opened on Park Central Square in August 2013 before relocating to Vecino Group LLC’s The Sterling around the corner at 312 Park Central East in December 2015. The throwback barbershop is known for its vintage style, including straight-razor shaves and a haberdashery selling items such as vintage watches and cufflinks.
