Cyberattack releases Delta Airlines data

Posted online

A cyberattack against Delta Airlines Inc. exposed payment information from several hundred thousand customers.

The data breach occurred from Sept. 26, 2017, to Oct. 12, 2017, at a company that provides online chat services to Delta, called [24]7.ai, accessing customers’ names and addresses, as well as their payment card information, CVV numbers and expiration dates.

The breach of Delta data comes after several other cyberattacks in recent weeks that have leaked private information from retailers including Hudson Bay Co., Under Armor Inc. and The Boeing Co.
